My New Subs Just Came In

So I decided to get 15" subs and chose 2 15" rockford fosgate t1's. Soon after that, I read about the HD315 and how people said I should get that instead so I wanted to get one of those. Unfortunately, they had already been shipped out. Since it would be such a hassle to send them back and Id only get about half my money back, I stayed with the RF's.

So the box didnt quite fit so now its in the backseat.

It takes up my entire backseat basically. I know have a 4 door 2 seater.

Here's a shot of the front. Even though it was hard to get a good angle because it is so close to the seats.
Image

Atleast now my amp is all alone in the trunk and I can but stuff in there for the first time in a while.

And finally here is my sony HU at night.

Its no clean cut show car, inside or out, but atleast I think it sounds pretty good.

its nice but why don't you just take the backseat out and put the sub back there?

also, have you trying firing it up? when i had my subs in the backseat, it sounded better firing up.

you should try and make a custom box so you know it will fit.

I made two custom boxes...one fit, but once it was in the other one wouldnt fit too so I had one in the the trunk and one in the back seat. That worked for a day then I went back to Lowes got some more wood and made 2 new boxes and now the both fit.

This is kinda what it looks like in the trunk if you can use your imagination. The box is long, narrow and about a 1/2 taller than the mounting depth. Ill get a real picture and a video once my girlfriend comes back from NY with my camera.

Re: My New Subs Just Came In

It sounds good shakes the whole car. Only downside is that my trunk lid already vibrated like crazy before, even with dynamat. Now it shakes even more because the subs are even closer and facing the trunk lid directly. Inside it sounds great, from the outside sounds bad because it vibrates so bad.

Any advice on what to do? Like I said I already dynamated it, but its not like its flexing the lid, the whole thing is moving.

you could try putting something on the spot where the lid sits so that it doesnt have room to move. something soft that will just compress a little when you close it.
