OK here is a few suggestions. I have been a mod/admin at another huge site for over 4 years so I know how this stuff goes.
1. Place a border, or make a lighter shade of gray/silver (like when you mouse over posts now) around the stickies to differentiate them from the normal posts. This keeps the thread nice and orderly.
2. Change the settings so that the posts are listed with the most recent first, just below the group of stickied posts. As they are now, the groupings are a confusing mess.
3. Make it so after you post on a thread it returns you to the entry you just posted -- for verifying, editing, reflecting, gathering those around your computer to witness the sheer greatness of your post, etc., instead of taking you back to the front page of the section you posted in.
4. Be tougher (than ecoustics) on spammers and retarded/annoying/argumentative posters by banning them after one stern warning... e.g.: "Dude if you pull anything like that again, we will ban your IP". This not only will keep the forum idiot-free, but it also sends a message to those who will eventually come here and try to do these things that this forum is heavily moderated, and such efforts will be a waste of their time.

That is exactly what we said when we started Peachy, then all of a sudden in less than a year we had 30,000 unique visitors a day. Spammers, bombers, hackers and morons came out of the woodwork and it took ten of us several months to fight them off. And we had mods in Europe so it was literally being watched 24/7. We would have completely fallen apart if it weren't for the fact that we had a solid plan in place.
Not saying that will happen here, but look at ecoustics now from where it started. It is an utter mess over there because nobody was smart enough to put a solid mod group together along with a plan. You guys did it the right way.

Im sure with the more members there will be an increase as mods as well..so trying to keep track of all the spam,etc...will be a bit easier...

I figured out how to fix this one. Click on your control panel and check the box after the line: *Redirect to topic after posting*. It takes a couple seconds after it says "message posted" or whatever, but then it will return to the thread in which you posted.
Still working on the others. If I can't figure it out I will get an HTML wizard in here to help us.
