12" Lightning Audio Storm x1

Let me start off by saying this sub is sick! I love it! It's about a 45lbs beast, rated 1000wrms and has 30mm of xmax (about 3" of USABLE excursion). It's pretty much a TC-3000.

I'm running this sub off 1200w in a 2.6cf box tuned around ~30hz with a 32.5sq in slot port. Sub up port back in a 98' grand prix trunk (same from 98-02 body)

This sub gets plent loud and low! At 30hz clear down to 18hz my clothes are visibly moving and it's hard to tell if my dash is shaking or my eyeballs are vibrating. Has a VERY smooth low end like no other sub I've had. It sounds awesome on the double kick, nails every note every time! Plays well on the guitar bass at the same time. I love listening to bands on this sub like As I Lay Dying, Parkway Drive, All That Remains, NoFx, Senses Fail and anything else with that lower frequency drum bass. Also love Chopped and Screwed style rap/hiphop.

The sub has never felt warm or has had any sign of being pushed to it's limits. A true 1000w seems to be enough for this sub, but it laughs in your face for more! The only way I could get his sub to bottom out was on an 18hz test tone off my AQ1200D at full tilt with the clip light just starting to flicker. I've heard of people running 1500-2000w+ clean to these, and I have no doubt they would handle it. Hell I'm only getting 1/3 to 1/2 the excursion out of this sub on 1200w in a box on the slightly large side when playing above port tuning! It's just a gnarly sub, period.

I know these are getting harder to come by, but if you ever get a chance to pick one up, do so. You will not regret it!

Subs I have experience with:

Diamond Audio D6
Elemental Designs SP.v2
RD Classic
Alpine Type-S
TC-9
Concept CSE
Concept HZ
Rockford P3
AA assassin

Good to hear you like it bud. As I mentioned in the other thread, a buddy told me that this sub was comparable to the sq of his RL-S. I wish I could hear one of these next to an RL-S.

Glad you are happy man.
