install tomorrow....question
tomorrow at 10am i have my appointment to get everything installed....ill be in school at this time and my dad will be taking the car and everything to get it all installed. my question is, do you think the installers can figure everything out like wire the sub to 1 ohm or set the gains and everything. cause my dad doesnt know anything about car audio and i dont wanna leave him in a situation where he has to take a guess and be wrong. so i guess ill leave my dad little notes on a piece of paper to refer to if they ask him a question. what shuold i include in my notes to him?

ide say pretty much all u need to write down is to tell them how to wire the sub correctly. But if it is getting done profesionaly i bet they can do it without help. Once everything is installed u can twek small things like the gain yourself

yeah they should set everything fine as long as it is a good place. i would double check some stuff once you get it done, but they should give you a warranty on the install anyway.

got the HU installed anod nothing else cause the guy didnt like my choices of what i bought and said my stuff wasnt compatible with each other wihich is bull****...so i was suppoed to go talk to him today about it but i didnt feel like driving up there so ima meet with him on saturday i guess

this dude got a b0ner over anything JL...he told me that my box was WAY to big for the sub i have. my sub is off-brand so it isnt good. the JL w6 would OWN my sub is output. JL makes the best subs. he really wanted me to buy this enclousre for my car which would fit in the wheel well and be the home to a W3 which would also OWN my sub in output...the stuff he was telling me was absurb so i left.
going to a new shop on monday

well i went up to the store today and made an appointment for tomorrow morning at 10am. the guy i talked to who is doing the install seems quite knowledgeable and seems legit. i got the chance to talk with him for about 10-15 minutes about car audio and he seemed like a informed person. also i talked to my friend today who had his system installed there by the same guy and hes had no problems with it so i think itll go good tomorrow.
