OFFICIAL THREAD: Nominations for Eryndor Executive Board 2009
OVERVIEW:
Nominations for Eryndor Executive Board positions for the 2009 year are now open.
Nominations will be open until December 30, 2008. The election for the positions will be held on Januray 10, 2009 in Monroe, MI at a time/location to be determined. The Unit Representative Counil votes on these positions. Any member of Eryndor can be nominated for a position.
HOW TO NOMINATE:
If you would like to nominate an Eryndor member for an officer position, make a post on this thread nominating the individual and specifying the position you are nominating them for. If the nominated person accepts their nomination for the position, they are then welcome to post on this thread introducing themselves to the community and providing a brief essay about themselves, why they believe they are a good candidate for the position, etc.
EXECUTIVE BOARD POSITIONS:
1. President
2. Vice President
3. Coordinator
4. Treasurer
5. Magistrate

RELEVANT SECTIONS OF THE BY-LAWS FOR ELECTIONS:
As advertised, the by-laws as passed the first year are a work-in-progress. They can certainly be improved and made more precise. A section specifically outlining election protocol would be useful. In the meantime, here are the current by-laws that are particularly relevant to the 2009 election:

1. Voting
A. Changes (amendment) to these by-laws can be made by a unanimous minus one vote of all official units and a simple majority vote by chapter administrators
B. All other voting will be conducted via a simple majority vote. [**by the Unit Representative Council**]
C. If the Unit Representative Council has a split vote, the Eryndor President will be the deciding vote.

3. Unit Representative Council
A. All official units of Eryndor will have one vote and can have two appointed members (in any way the unit sees fit) to serve at Unit Council meetings.
CURRENT NOMINATIONS
EXECUTIVE BOARD POSITIONS:
1. President - (1) Yozo, (2) Noroko, (3) Sazur, (4) Cross
2. Vice President - (1) Red Jack, (2) Simon/Angus
3. Coordinator - (1) Noroko, (2) Vlad, (3) Wog
4. Treasurer - (1) Taalia, (2) Athron
5. Magistrate - (1) Eindridi, (2) Cross
**Evias and Sidia have received nominations for positions, but I have received confirmation from both of them that they do not wish to pursue an Exec. board position.**
***Vlad chose to NOT pursue the Magistrate position, Muhdurin did not choose to pursue the Coordinator position; Sindaric did not accept the nomination for VP***
In the case where someone was nominated for more than one position (if such a thing happens), the election would proceed in the order of the positions as listed above. Hence, if someone was running for both Vice President and Magistrate, and they won Vice President, they would naturally be removed from the running for Magistrate.

I second The Evias nom for VP.
I also want to nominate Noroko for Coordinator. She has been super on top of things this past year and I think she would do a great job, assuming she has time with school and all that.

Eindridi for Magistrate.
He would be the perfect go-between guy for Eryndor. Plus, he has played Dagorhir for quite and awhile and would be a good voice to have on the RWC. In addition to that, who doesn't like Eindridi? Exactly.
