of the eleven official members of my unit... we have 7 bows... and yes... I'm training them all to kick ass with any form of projectile that comes to mind.

You may all start masturbating at that thought...

I'm going to take whatever you haven't nailed down... Nevermind... I'll take that too.

You mention the western Eryndorim. I do not recall seeing them. if they are only planning on going to rag and not fighting with us at any other point, I am going to have to politely refuse them standing on either side of our wall. I wish to know an ally I am putting that much trust in.

Sorry it took me this long to get on top of this, but you have all rights to take your opinion the way you do. We don't fight with you guys often, mostly cause we are in the GR region and your in the Detroit region. However, we are bringing around 10 people with fairly high skill level and experience. So use us in whatever way you see fit.

I'm not sure what the *Followers will be doing, and we'll probably decide once we get there and they see the full scope of a Ragnarok battle.

But we will be five strong. What are the odds that we could fight with you from time to time in a chapter battle? By all rights you can say no (clearly), but most of you know my abilities and I can vouch for the four that I am bringing, we certainly would not be poor additions.

Or out of spite, we may well just keep being those pesky 3-5 fighters that Athron was talking about. You'll kill us, but we'll irritate the crap out of you ;-)

Any thoughts?

* - Followers of the Way - Very green, fledgling chapter based in Spring Arbor, Mi. They could learn a lot, and add a little to your fighting.

Amras, I imagine you guys may work well in the Reserve Unit roll with the rest of Legacy (react to where Eryndor develops a weakness / exploit a clear position of strength)... we can talk about it at Rag, though!

Sounds good. And may I say in an entirely non-sexual way, it will be good to see you again.

Did I say "entirely" non-sexual... hmmm... I guess we'll have to see when we get there ;-)

Unfortunaly I won t be at this Rag, but two of our guys are attending.
The Earth and leaves model used at Rag 22 worked really good in my humble opinion. For what I understood the great mass called Earth have all kind of styles of fighters with a whole bunch of different combos of weapons. Its much more slower but much more resilient, having large and medium shield walls , spearmen and lots of support footsoldiers and archers that will renew the front or hot ranks of the shield wall.

In contrast the leave would be the more independent fleet of foot harrassers and true flankers. Mini units of 5-8 fighters with relatively similar or complementary styles make a formidable hit and run problem for everyone else specially if they have earth supporting and sheltering them if they are overpower by unbearable odds.

So how does it really work the elements oprganization?

For me the simpler the better.
A good corp of fighters and hunters can keep earth on a functional diversity , specially if their are a good number of experimented recruits, explaining the new guys how to do stuff(me in Rag 22)...and the leaves can work autonmously giving hell on the periphery or engrossing the flanks of Earth if it s weakened.
For me simpler works best.but if you guys have a 70% plus of experimented fighters , there could be much more elaborat formations.

The unit or warband concept could be ideal to organize smaller grous into a interchangeable grid...a dream come true.
for example based on its strenghs or style of fighting/equipment they could be rearranges and even rejuvenated ...this happens on earth naturally but in the chaos we don t even notice when it happens.
Example 5 warbands/units/companies make up the front of the bigger whatnot....having an earth looking mass backing them:

Smaller groups of harrassers could be made if you guys have enought numbers.
