Filipino Feast day!
Greetings Eryndor!
I'm here to suggest something totally fun for this year and I need your help in making it happen!
Ichiro of Angaron, my fellow Filipine and I, would love to host a feast of native cuisine. We would like to feature this little event at the Eryndor pavilion (with permission)...keeping in mind it's the most accessible and seems to get plenty of traffic. We were thinking mid-week. Wednesday or Thursday afternoon.
This will be completely out of our own pockets and entirely for the generosity of it. Therefore, any volunteers to assist with cooking, even if it's letting us use a camp stove for a few hours, would be amazing.
He and I are still coming up with a menu. It will probably consist of one or two meat dishes, at least one vegetarian dish, and a dessert or sweet snack of some sort. Like all Asian cuisine, ingredients are fairly simple: rice, noodles, stir-fried meat in tasty simple sauces, vegetables, tropic fruits...
Oh, and we'll be sure to mention if anything is cooked with or in what could possibly be an allergin: peanuts, mangoes, oils, milk, eggs, wheat flour, etc.
Be sure to bring your own feastware as we most likely will not have anything disposable. We're Eryndor, folks...think Green!
Let me know if this sounds something you'd like to participate in/help out with! I'm not asking for money here---a few hours of your time or temporary use of cooking equipment and community pavilion space is all I ask ^__^!
Come out and chow down with us! Really excited to do this this year!
Thanks everyone!
-Ryna

Re: Filipino Feast day!
^__^ awesome. Until we've got it all down for certain, we'll mostly need volunteers to keep an eye on cooking, and help serve. Of course we wouldn't object to the donation of ingredients either!

Re: Filipino Feast day!
BUMPITY BUMP!
Talked to Mithris about this and have been planning like crazy with Ichiro.
We'll be having some guests down in Eryndor camp on wednesday afternoon. At least 20 people from Angaron will be joining us for a meal.
THIS WILL BE A FIRST COME FIRST SERVE BASIS ONLY. Please bring your OWN feastware if you would like to dig in. Sorry, no drinks will be served, just food. Keep in mind this is funded totally out of our own pockets...we're doing this cuz we love you guys ^__^!
We're still in need of another camp stove if anyone is willing to lend one to us for the day.
If you're not fighting, come mingle while we cook, bring an instrument, dance, relax, laugh and be merry!
