New Masteries

Two new weapon class masteries have been approved by the Council. Due to the lack of training for the Kingmaker Mastery, it will only be able to be tested if there are two people (besides the tester) who have been observed by the herald as practicing the fighting style. So basically, more people than Yakamo and Ichor need to study and practice the fighting style before the mastery can be tested for.

Kingmaker Mastery

This weapon class is defined as all three combatants using a swinging weapon with one hand, and in the other is a shield and a weapon with a green tip (could be anything from a dagger to a club with a green tip).

The second test is the Kingmaker combo versus the best shield and blue warrior in Eryndor with all of their armor and projectiles if they want them.

Dagger Mastery

This weapon class is simply all combatants using just one dagger each.

The second test is the tester with just a dagger versus the best warrior in Eryndor with shield and blue.

Re: New Masteries

This is not a new Mastery, but a new rule for Masteries. During the fully armored tests, the combatant no longer needs to physically wear their armor. In fact, the 'best' combatant that is chosen actually has their entire body armored with invisible 'Magic armor.'

This may seem cheesy, but it was done for two reasons. We felt that the second portion of some of the Masteries needed to be a tiny bit harder, and full armor without restrictions certainly evens the odds on that. The second reason is because we've wasted too much time and energy making sure Yakamo or Athron has their armor on at the right time for certain tests. This way, testing can go more smoothly and with a touch more difficulty.
