Born in a little town called Eryndor
So busy during the new year and on top of that a forced census. This town so small not home just here for the "kings count" no place to stay.
The one inn over full, they have a cave/stable which looks like the place my owners are going to stay, to stay, with me, think of that, they are stayin' with me, the burrow. Who would of thought.
Oh boy who cleans this dump. I've stayed in worst only one other time.
The woman Marra, she is about to bust with child, and her husband, Joffa, you can tell it's his first, trying to do somthing and getting nothing accomplisd, accualy making more work for Marra.
She is keep her exasperation in check, she could explode, but that is not going to help, deep breaths, ok it's time.
No not the feed trough, I know it's the only free space in here, but I wouldn't even eat out of that.
A real king would not put his subjects in a situation like this. We animals will take care for our other four and two legged friends.
We would have given up a room at the inn. With the door locked, and no where to go we just press up against the cold earth inside this cave, and give as much room as possible.
What contrast a feed manger with dung, old nasty feed that has caked from being mouthed by who knows what.
Covering the bottom and up the sides this, space not fit for man or beast, but now has a little package, that to this donkey is the most pure and holiest thing he have ever seen.
How could I be so fortunate to witness this I don't deserve such an offering of grace and total peace.
Me the one who contemplated throwing the young girl off a dozen times and running for the distant hills and meet up with my wild kin who I could hear at night baying at the moon.
The moon usually so bright when it is full and full it was, but that star, "that star that was so so bright". Like a bon fire throwing shadows deep black, dark. Like a small sun almost.
There is somthing magical here, I've felt it, but now I know it. All of us animals in here we know, so why not the humans? I'll never understand them.
Just when you think their kind is hopeless, someone proves you wrong.
Well lookie here. Mmm they are human but like those from far east of here.
Oh the funny talk. But they are getting their message across. The gifts are for the, did he say king. Must be a translation error. Yes they think so to Marra and Joffa. But no that is it, I knew it was a magicical moment.
Now what Elfs, singing, to a baby wraped in rags, sitting in a dung covered crib screaming for nurishment. What next?
Will they belive me when I get back to our home town, I wonder will any one belive this...

Re: Born in a little town called Eryndor
Very poetic. An interesting delivery as well.
But to be honest, I'm not even sure of the reference you're inferring. There's an obvious story that comes to mind, I wonder what you were truely implying...

Re: Born in a little town called Eryndor
No story reference as far as Eryndor, it has no connections to any that I know of. Yes a story you might of heard is being retold in a Eryndor setting.
A begining to a possible story not sure if I'll take it further or any changes.
Thought provoking more than anything, with a very different story teller.
A holiday gift in a way too.
If a Lion that talked and fought for Narnia's inhabitants. What would our planet hold for us from the Valar?
