Actually, that's a very good observation, guys. And first, let me preface this by saying that there certainly MAY be a change in locations for the later events... and we may host an event in the North.
And aside from Mograth no longer being a cool kid, no, we weren't trying to dump on you guys.
Here's the rationale (note, none of this is calculated with any sort of exact science, this is strictly speaking from 'feel' through experience... so its certainly up for discussion):
1) Northern Eryndor is the most northern bastion of a major contingent of foam fighters. Go another 30 minutes north, and the emptyspace to foamfighter ratio gets awfully high. Thus, locating events in North puts us away from the 'center' of foamfighters (see (2) and (3)), without gaining attendees from the far north (because there aren't very many).
2) The greatest density of foamfighters (not Eryndor, foamfighters in general) is centrally located *abouts* about an hour to 1.5 hours southeast of Toledo. There's a huge number of Dagorhir, Belegarth, and other foam fighters in that area.
3) Eryndor is centrally located between Toledo and Monroe (once you 'average it out')
4) Its fun to have more than just Eryndor at events.
5) Driving <2 hours is a reasonable drive time for day events.
Thus, by keeping events in the Monroe, Toledo area, no Eryndorrim will have to drive >2 hours (and most less than an hour), AND other units/chapters will generally have less than a 2 hour drive as well.
Also, North is filled with college age + kids, and finding rides and vehicles to carpool is not as much an issue. Also, North is pretty well organized, so we have faith you CAN and WILL carpool. Also, we often host events in semi-developed areas to 'encourage' growth in that region (as we did with a campout and mini-event in Green Eryndor). North is past this stage, its well-developed.
But... if you guys really do feel like you're being hosed, please talk to us offline or shoot me and the HC an e-mail. It is definately NOT our intention to dump on some people or anything like that. In reality, we tried to reassess how to boost attendance at events so that everyone has more fun!
And PS - The real reason is that Ichabod smells funny, and we want to keep him away from events as much as possible.

seriously, I have no qualms. I was just curious. For me, even though I practice with the pimps in North, it is about the same distance for me to go there as it is for a middle or even south event. The important thing - that there are events at all and that yours truly gets to wizz on Athron's carcass when he is slain!

I did notice the strange thing that there were no events set to be in North as well. I understand Athron's reasoning, and feel I should offer an idea.
Livonia is a good half-way point for North and Middle. I live in the area and it takes me about the same amount of time to get to both Middle and North, which is about 30 minutes, depending on how you drive.
Also, Livonia has a number of locations that I know of that can provide us with large field and wooded areas to fight in if we needed it. Also, in these areas, there are a number of people who might be interested in watching and maybe joining us. If the HC would like me to check out these areas to see if there are any problems, let me know, and I can. I grew up in Livonia, and know the area very well.

Wog, you definately win the "good idea" award. I'd like to see what you think, but it depends on how other people feel. Also... isn't Livonia (or near?) where that "no illegal public boxing clubs" law was passed in their parks because of high school kids taping Fight Clubs there? I'm not sure if it was... and is that something we need to see if it impacts us?
