From the South: I-75 North to I-475, take Exit 19 Douglas Road, turn Left. Take Douglas to Kenwood Blvd, turn Left. We will be located across from the Toledo Hospital on the Right side.
WHAT: An epic battle-heavy event to finish up the fighting season! Make sure you bring two pairs of gloves, two socks, and definitely some footwear suitable for the trail battle. Expect great fighting, good food, and loads of Eryndor love. During food, we will do a gathering much like Eindridi’s idea for a massive Circle of Honor where each unit recognizes some of their people. $3 entrance fee.
PS- Make sure some good photographers are out there, this will be a climactic battle, and the trail battle will be incredible to watch as well.
Here’s a little teaser for the final scenario battle:
FATE OF THE CROWN
Riavorn fled with the Crown of Maegamarth.
He believed that he could leave Eredhel unseen, and isolate himself deep in the northern mountains, and keep the dark lord’s crown protected.
He believed his sanctuary was completely secret, and safe from Dark Energy Users.
He believed no one would sense the crown that far in isolation.
He was wrong.
It wasn’t until the fifth day in the mountains that Riavorn spotted a Black Orc scout, ran it down, and killed it. The Black Orc had a single glance at the Crown, but Riavorn knew that Maegamarth saw through the eyes of the Black Orc… and saw the Crown that he so desperately desired.
The minions would be coming soon, and Riavorn knew this. He also knew a secret in Eredhel so he could not go back. Instead he sent a mind message to his brother Riacura, warning the Eredhel Alliance to meet him in the northern mountains immediately.
Days later, Riavorn had been attacked by dozens of Black Orc Scouts, keeping him occupied. But that was not his worry. He was worried about the rumbling mountains from the south. He felt Death Energy… It was an army of Undead, unearthing from below.
In fact, it was two armies of Undead. Many years ago there was a great war, and thousands of their skelefied corpses slowly being reborn to Maegamarth’s Dark Will. They shifted the earth as they re-animated.
As soon as they could, the Eredhel Alliance, filled with war-ready Elves and Eryndor Crusaders, came to aid Riavorn. But they did not find him by chance. First, they followed the sound of the mountain rocks shaking… then they followed the sound of rickety, animated bones being smashed, and finally the sound of Riavorn’s blade slaying dozens of Undead. Hundreds were working their way toward him from all around the mountains; he was surrounded. As they circled him, both his hands were filled with blades… so he carried the Crown of Maegamarth on his head.
The Crown made him move faster and more deadly than any of them had ever seen Riavorn move… but still he was being surrounded and overwhelmed.
Just as the Eredhel Alliance came to aid him, they realized their only hope was to take a defensive position at one of the peaks, and try to somehow clear a path to some open ground.
As the dark lord came closer to acquiring his crown, Maegamarth’s Will was so loud that several other groups traveled to meet at this climactic point in the mountains, each of them coming from their own direction, and for their own reasons. Some wanted to take the crown for their own. Some wanted to protect it.
Even if Riavorn and the Eredhel Alliance can protect the crown at the peak of the mountain, what will happen when another group arrives? Will they aid, or will they pillage?
Whatever the fate of the Crown, one thing is for sure; Maegamarth has an eye on his Crown, and he will not let it slip away again.
THE DRAW OF THE DARK WILL
This is a scenario that will take place before the final battle. With a team of about 15 people, your party will fight through the Undead scattering the trail. This trail represents whatever part of land your group would need to pass in order to reach the northern mountains, where Maegamarth’s Will is calling out to someone in your group. The group that most successfully adventures through the trails will be the group that first comes to aid Riavorn and the Alliance if they survive the Undead assault, and thusly gives you an opportunity to decide your own fate of the crown…
FATE OF THE CROWN BATTLE RULES
This is the finale. It will be a two-team, resurrection battle. Its like a bridge battle, except a really wide bridge that gets a bit narrower toward the objective. The objective is basically a large holy point. This holy point, called the ‘Avalanche zone’ must be defended by the Eredhel Alliance. The Undead are trying to get to the peak and cause an avalanche… knowing they will certainly claim the Crown if they can suffocate the Alliance underneath the mountains.
Here is a rough sketch of the battle outline:
ALLIANCE OBJECTIVE
- Defend the Avalanche Zone for 30 minutes.
UNDEAD OBJECTIVE
- Get at least one creature to the Avalanche Zone to “dig”. If they dig the zone for 5 minutes total, they cause an avalanche and take the Crown of Maegamarth from the corpses.
GAMEPLAY
- Both teams have a 10 second resurrection at their rez point.
- The only field limitations are the sides of the mountain pass, which cannot be stepped on.
- Undead are immune to green and yellow damage.
- The Alliance will have several healers, who can heal limbs by touching and chanting for 5 seconds.
- To symbolize some of the elite soldiers of Maegamarth’s forces, there will be four Black Orcs on the team of the Undead. Two of them are scouts, which will have their own personal resurrection points way behind the Alliance rez point. There are also two Black Orc Soldiers, massive hulks that resurrect with the Undead. Their ability is that they can carry two shields for plowing into the Alliance lines.

Re: Eryndor Season Closer: FATE OF THE CROWN
What's the team size split in the fate of the crown battle? One team effectively not being able to use archery or spears in a bridge-like battle seems like a huge unbalance.

Re: Eryndor Season Closer: FATE OF THE CROWN
I'll try to bring as many of the Order down as I can, work schedules, and short notices might get in a bit of the way, but hell, what's better than one last event before the less winter savvy folks go in to hiding?
