Bow: Where to buy one?
Been away for quite a while, yeah... (Darn busy schedule!) But anyways... I'm considering putting away the axe and coming back to practices with a bow and arrow, but I'm not 100% sure where the BEST place to get one is at.
I know D*ck's Sporting Goods and Cabella's would probably be safe bets, but where do most people get good fiber glass bows at? And if I can't get something that meets max weight (35 lbs.) at full draw (28"), what can I do to adjust the weight on the draw, if anything?
Also, where do people get most of the materials they need for arrows? The arrow, the padding, and fletching? (Like, do most people buy a real arrow, remove the head, and add the padding, or produce the whole thing from scratch?)
Direct links to products to look at would be greatly appreciated, and I'll probably see you guys in a month or so. (Still busy. Blah.)

this is a long conversation... umm where/who do you practice with?
Bow's are hit and miss... if you're already an archer, then you'd want a good bow... but you'd know where to get that by now. Since you're looking for a beginner bow, I'd go to ****'s Sporting Goods online and buy the Bear Recurve. *it's green* if you check it out at certain times, it'll be cheaper.
As for arrows... that's a tricky subject, since every archer has a different opinion on what makes a good arrow. Honestly, since having arrows is better than not, use whatever, but don't spend more than 60 for 6 shafts. If you spend more than ten dollars total for arrows, then you're spending way to damn much.
Blue foam from walmart, Green high density foam from Joann Fabrics (3 inch thick), Fabric/Grip tape and ducktape from where ever.

Eh, I would contest that statement. I've seen as low as 20# used effectively, but it's a different strategy than "real" arching.
