I fail to see what the preferred type of weapon has to do with anything. You can use this stuff on any sort of sword......whatever. I guess the attitude confuses me. *shrugs*

I love it athron, what kind of weight did it add? Could you still refer to it as a speed bat? Or just a bat?

None, or essentially none. I haven't weighed it, but my guess is I added *maybe* .25 to .5 ounces by doing the plastidip instead of a super thin layer of athletic tape... it might even be lighter than covering a haft with thick duct tape, not sure.

If saving weight is the reason someone is not willing to PD a weapon, they have an invalid concern. And I made this weapon so the blade can be rebuilt while keeping the haft intact.

Update:

I weighed the club.

Before the PD (tape covering the haft) it weighed 12.15 ounces.

After the PD it now weighs 12.25 ounces.
