Eryndor Member Personal To-Dos Before Rag 21
Hello everyone,
Rag 21 is going to be the great foamfighting event the world has ever seen, and Eryndor is going to do its damndest to be one of the finest chapters at this event.
There are a few TINY things that you can do for yourself that needs to be done so that Eryndor looks awesome in pictures, on the field, as a chapter, etc.
1) Make headbands for yourself. Everyone MUST have Red, Green, and Blue headbands, they'll be used regularly throughout the week. Make sure to use RED, not "maroon" or the like... the colors need to stand out. Even if you're so lazy just you and a few buddies buy some fabric and rip it up and write your names on them, it'll save the event coordinators some time. If you plan on wearing a helm like me, make sure the headband stays on your helm.
2) Put the EVERLEDDEN TREE on your shield. Holy mother of mercy, if you're in Eryndor, SHOW IT OFF! We have a good reputation, wearing the symbol on your shield is a good intimidation tactic, and makes oncoming forces think twice, which is an advantage.
BUT MOST IMPORTANTLY... as we're sprawled across the field and in line battles, seeing the shields with the tree will allow us to FIND EACH OTHER. This is paramount to our success as a chapter on the battlefield... plus it looks good. No excuses on this one, gang, please get the tree on there. If you only use community shields... pony up and take one home, paint it, and bring it to practice the next week.

Tayn,
Everledden Tree Stencils would be very useful! Good thinking indeed! So yeah if it isn't too much trouble, that is something we would greatly appreciate, and I'd even buy one off of you...In fact I'd buy it for the price of whatever costs you incur. Keep me posted.

Re: Eryndor Member Personal To-Dos Before Rag 21
wat size do u guys want for diameter for the tree? and daeris, there was some talk of some middle eryndorians coming down for southern practice, i can try to get one made by then and send it up with them. i was just plan on making them out of posterboard. thats wat i did for my buckler, it seemed to work fine. though from experience i have found wen u try to sponge paint on it it, it gets under the stencil and wen u spraypaint it, it bleeds. i think the best thing to do would probably trace it onto the fabric using the stencil, and then paint that freehand. alot less chance of sloppiness.

the BEST thing to do would be to learn how to build your own silkscreens so that you can simply build a single transfer and apply it onto a bunch of shields quickly and cheaply... and perfect everytime.
not that I know a High Councilman who is working on developing such a skill as we speak or anything...

Re: Eryndor Member Personal To-Dos Before Rag 21
I did a guy at work a favor the other day in fixing his computer. Well, he was over at my place and I showed him all my Dag stuff. He looked at my shield and mentioned that it was odd that I didn't have a crest on it.
Then he looks at me and says "you know, my hobby is painting, right?"
Muhahaha!!!

Re: Eryndor Member Personal To-Dos Before Rag 21
hey guys. I have a REALLY nice stencil if someone wants to borrow it, just let me know. It's big, but not so big that it doesnt fit on most shields.
If you are in Middle and want to use it, let me know cuz I could get it to you easiest.

Re: Eryndor Member Personal To-Dos Before Rag 21
I made a wooden stencil that you just gotta spray paint over. However there is no room for a circle around that one, so I was thinking a making another one. But i'll prolly do that at the weapon making session on St. Patty's Day.
