The Forbidden Kingdom - White haired whip-wielding bounty huntress.

If you're like me, you've probably given any recent (last 8 years or so) films by Jet or Jackie a wide berth. I won't claim you MUST change your habits for this movie (Hero is the one I urge you to see if you haven't already) but it's surprisingly viewable. Some borrowings from "Journey to the west", decent "old style" Shaw brothers fight scenes, annoying lead, and a cold hearted bounty hunter girl.

We're introduced to her as she beats the directions to the heroes out of some innocent monks

She and her men race across the desert to interrupt a romantic moment with some levitating mockery.

And to kick some heroic ass.

As the heroes run like scared little girls...

Though the heroes manage to get away, she is brought forth to teach the annoying "audience identification" wimp a lesson

and does she ever kick his ass, kung-fu knowledge or no.

Unfortunately, she is asked to stop before she finishes him off

And the other good guys burst in to save him.

She has a short knife-fight with the love interest

Manages to hold off both the kid and the girl

but when Jackie himself decides to take her outside for a showdown

She doesn't really stand much of a chance.

An icy calculating beauty, and very deadly. Her fights are nicely staged, and one can see she cares for style.
I know I'd have loved to play with her claws and her snowy magic hair at some stage... emoticon

If she had been caught at last, they'd have had to shave it all away...what a shame. She definitely isn't the type who would enjoy that, but it would have done her some good.
I would have let her do some pleading at the end, too. Just when it could have become interesting, Jackie cut her short.
Wonder how she looked like down there... emoticon
