Follys on Nationwide

Hi, nice website - came to you via this Saturday's Tmes Magazine article. Just wondering if any of your members remember it, or even managed to record Nationwide's series on Follies (Bob Wellings presented?) back in the late 1970s on an early home video set-up? It would be great if someone could actuially compile for DVD release, even given its limited market.

Thanks.

Rob

Many people have mentioned the series and have fond memories of it, but the chances of them retaining a copy on video tape is probably fairly thin. I wonder if writing to the BBC might produce a copy?

Hi, quite forgotten I'd posted this emoticon Haven't had chance to come back and have a look since, so a nice surprise that someone does remember this.

Well, lobbying the BBC has worked in the past with some things, but I reckon someone like Network would be a better bet, just thinking about it now, as they seem to be very unfussy about the many and varied old, but good, esoteric series and shows out there that their willing to stick on DVD... and a damn fine job they usually do.

Perhaps we should all drop them a line.

Rob
