Mobile antenna finally sorted??
i think i have finaly sorted out my mobile antenna problems, the swr doesnt move around when i touch the coax anymore. i have fitted a mirror mount to the roof rail and this seems to be alot more stable swr wise than the magmount. at long last,,,,, well i say that, wait til ive got some rig checks before i go blowing my trumpet.. god i never had so much trouble fittin a mobile before... anyone got a SO239 body mount? i got loads of diferent mounts but no SO239 only 3/8 threads, and i wanna use my sirio as its more bendy than the moonraker

i got a sirio 4000,on the van works brill,can drive round playing the muppets up??? 100 watts all day long

its funny cos when i use the sirio and magmount on my missis's car i never had any swr issues, put the sirio and mag on my discovery and i get nothing but swr nightmares. bloody good antennas the sirio megas and high powers, just landrovers are strange metal.. lol
