Going to Cornwal for 2 weeks WooHoo!
Off down to sunny Cornwall on 10th May-a week on Sat, thought I was goin to Devon till wife put me right! Be down there for 2 weeks and I`m ALLOWED to take radio with me! ALLOWED TO? Cheek! Anyway, I`ll be down the pub EVERY night for 2 whole weeks and out on radio every (some) days, hope to catch some of you down South then. Cheers you guys!

And remember to converse with the Cornish in their own tongue:
St. Austel is pronounced by the natives as 'Sossel'. 
And if you need to mention Launceston for any reason, it would be pronounced as 'Lansen'.

Well I have me radio & aerial packed away ready for my holls, and just thought i would try it before I packed it and got France on my first shout, things are looking up! Cant wait to get down there now. Was funny cos French station sounded so weak and I only have 21 watt-on a good day- and an aerial at ground level and he could hear me clearly! He said he was using 100 watts to???? I just cant understand these things, how, or why they work in the way they do, I just enjoy them! Just a simple guy!!!

well, having a few beers for you all, went up to Bodmin Moors today-Jamaca Inn-made a contact into Scotland, first time I got 108 division so that pleased me, esp with my new radio-blew my Lincoln on the first few days, bought a Ranger RCi 2970dx, seems to be working fine, made loads of dx contacts since we been here but not got my bits of paper here with me now, should list them here when I get back home at weekend, hope you are all having the same luck with yours.
