Here's an Ugly Balun (RF Choke) fitted just below my Antron/Solarcon 99 - well worth doing as the SWR went down and TVI was eliminated too.

Nice one Gary and well done against the boring TVI emoticon

Oh yes, for a normal wire dipole I suggest to feed it with a "ladder line" (300 Ohm) .

I did the experiment at the end of '80, when i had my lovely 11m 3 ele yagi and my 40m dipole and the TVI was totally eliminated.

omg...i just realized now that i have a 4:1 balun inside my mfj 969 deluxe versa tuner II .....time to experiment somm emoticon

Another GREAt aerial is called Morgain..look around bout it emoticon
