The FB001 current radio shack
A couple of images of the radio shack.
Its located in the back of my workshop at the moment, you can see stripped down motorcycle racing engines and tools and stuff, but I plan to build a lean-to sound proof shed on the back.
Additions on order but not yet arrived are AT-150 automatic antenna tuner, the Icom power supply will shuffle along on top of the other PSU and the tuner will go in between. I've made a G5RV, full size as my gardens about 200' long. SWIMBO doesnt know about that yet And a 2m radio yet to be purchased.
The speaker is a Whiteley solid cast iron thing built in 1959 and sounds as sweet as a nut. In a 1920's cabinet.

Re: The FB001 current radio shack
The 735 is a great rig, easy to operate and sounds great on the air.I ran one a few years ago and never received a bad report. Here in the States it seems like 75% of the 735's no longer have the door on them!!!

Re: The FB001 current radio shack
Yes, I know I have the door, the radio was in as new condition when I bought it. The mic had not been fitted and the radio had been used as a back up CW qrp station. I know thats what everybody says but its true!
I was the first person ever to remove the lid as the warranty tape was still intact. Until I got inthere with some nail clippers to open it up
Today I took the plastic window off, because since I attached the linear I'm forever adjusting the RF power out. Which, is behind the window. So in order to save it from being broken I've put it somewhere safe
