What is the best calling channel, I have a Magnum S9 and on SSB find there is hardly anyone on it.

Hi and welcome to the site
As has been said 27555 USB or 52 (12 high) is the international calling frequency for 11m DX. But we're in a low point of the solar cycle which, means there are few conditions atm, and the band is quiet. Its always worth a shout and keep listening in, as theres DX on and off during the winter.
You could do some researcg into how this all works over the internet, type in cycle 24 into Google
