Dedicated 10/11m rig Vs Multiband HF set Hello all, I'm just wondering does anybody have any experience or reviews of this radio, the Galaxy DX95T.
What 10/11m rig is recommended as one of the best?
Also I am wondering how the likes of this or any dedicated 10/11m rig compares to a multiband HF set like a Kenwood TS450s or Icom or Yaesu transceiver used on 10/11m, does anybody think a dedicated rig for 10/11m band would outperform a multiband all mode 1-30MHz set on 10/11m? performance wise I mean.
I would be interested to see some opinions.

Re: Dedicated 10/11m rig Vs Multiband HF set hi patrick! the galaxy radios are good there made quite well! for todays standards anyway!! they have functions like echo!!! (yuk!) talkback!! maybe handy to hear different mics!? i wouldnt say its a ham radio! just because it goes to 10 meters! and with echo!!! BUT for the £300 price tag! i think i would hold up and get a hf rig instead!! i know the hf set would be second hand!! but it would be so much better!! you could listern to any hf band you wanted to! and may be talk if you have a licence!! just my thourghts!! 73 rich.
Re: Dedicated 10/11m rig Vs Multiband HF set all your 10mtr (ham)radios as they are imported as ie rangers ,galaxays,s9's,3900's etc are all made by RCI with ranger boards in??
so to answer your question your rci radios work but a ham radio (when opened up) will tx /rx 0-30mhz usaually with 100watts of clean audio out the back.
the ham radio WILL not get or give out if any interfernce,& you can use other freeband freqs if you dare.
but please don't pirate the ham bands cus you will get yourselve a loadof hassle??
