Well not a bad start with 43, 153, 44 coming in, SSN looks bad atm, but with a promise of more to come in the coming weeks, could be the start of some great winter DX on 11m

I had the whole day today to play radio, no-one around at home, all out shopping. But no prop, dead quiet bands all around.
Right then lets sort the beam out once and for all With Johns advice I stripped it down and rebuilt it, twice Just need some prop now to test it proper
Also put a 2m colinear up on the side of the house and fitted a burgler alarm Busy old day

Had a late night last night at the neighbours bonfire party
This morning was supposed to be an early radio start, but hohum.
43 very briefly heard on 570, since then nothing at all, some 14 bursts, but S5 of rubbish here for some reason this morning, dont know what it is, but SSB sounds like FM atm, all around as well, which is unusual, normally when I turn the beam any QRN is located in one place.
Hoping for some DX today, but have to go out around lunchtime, so wont be around all day. Thats when there'll be some prop

11m is fairly quiet today, with some low 30 div and 14 div only atm.
But SSN 1029 should rotate backinto view this weekend, this is the SS that gave us some good DX a few weeks ago, so fingers crossed

43 division low this morning, too low to work at the moment, but readable.
Otherwise zzzzzzz pretty much, although this might pick up in a couple of hours or so

Band now open. 43 were 5/5 for a short while, swl not worked. 161, 35, 13, 14, 30 and 1 div all 5/9 on and off. 44 div spotted in 26, not heard here yet.

Keeping one eye on the weather, but although windy just about ok atm
EU band wide open to 161, 21, 13, 35, 14, 1 etc Good DX
