hello from northumberland hello every one. my name is tom. i live on the coast of northumberland, back in to radio after a very long time away.just got my self a ham jumbo, but not hearing anything yet.maybe i am abit rusty after all theese years! any advice would be most welcome.

Re: hello from northumberland hi tom, welcome to the forum. its been very quiet this past week, not much skip around i'm afraid. things can only get better so keep on listening out. i was out on salisbury plain today and heard only a few faint bits of skip, otherwise dead.. lol

Re: hello from northumberland i went up onto a hill tonight and it was deathly silent! not even anything local on fm it was awful kind of spooky too because as i drove up the hill higher and higher i was driving up into a cloud until i reached the top where it wasnt raining... then as i came back home down the hill it started raining again as i dropped below the cloud! maybe that affected signals? i dunno really foggy in the cloud but dry then wet and dull outside the cloud very hard to explain!
