President Lincoln
Actually its a Uniden 2830 badged, but its identical to a President Lincoln.
Theres no denying ts had a hard life, there are numerous marks on the casing, most of the graphics have worn off the front, the rear power lead socket is loose at the back and there is what looks like a small burn mark on the top at the front.
Having said all that this radio works very well indeed and measures 40 watts output, yes 40 watts, on a good power meter. The inner workings of this radio are excellent and I have had many contacts worldwide using it without any linear amplifier.
The meter reading is rubbish frankly and cannot be relied on for anything at all. It actually reads 5 all the time even when there is no niose at all.
It has had an LED conversion for the display lighting which works much better than the original bulb. I did this, and this was the only thing I did do.
I have the original microphone, thats had a repair done on the lead but still works fine, could do with a new lead. I never bothered as I used a different mic (See seperate ad) There is the power lead and some brackets that are home made but you can have them anyway, might be better than nothing.
Runs from 25??? to 29999 mhz, all modes, which is more than you will ever need if you're using the 11 meter band.
Plenty of good reports for these radios, do some research.
Cheap way of getting into 11 meter side band DX, the freebanding capital of the world!
£75 plus postage
I'll put it on Ebay if no-one on here wants to buy it. If you want any more information I'll do my best to answer.

Re: President Lincoln
Kieth, stick that on the for sale bit as a seperate topic, personally I think thats a blimin good buy.
Someone should snatch your arm off for that, PL's are rarer and rarer. And they're very sought after and "keepers" for many people
