wiring for a es4018 help help
i have a es 4018 echo power mike. "sharman" is the make i do belive its the one with the echo slider, and 4 buttons for sirens ,machine gun etc , not that i ever use them but the mike does work real well on my 257 as i cant seem to get hold of a standard mike any where ... ??? my problem is the 6 pin plug has come away at the solder on three wires !!! can anyone help me with what colours are what and also what the h**l is the little switch for at the back of the mike for as during use it seems to do nothin

if so, then...
pause while i google...
no joy.
right. does the rig still key? if not, you might have to start again.
if youre not clever with wiring, soldering and not blowing things up, i suggest you get a shop to do it - otherwise you need to simply find out which two wires carry the signal, and which two wires carry the ptt.
anyone here can help out? i cant find a wiring diagram for this mike anywhere.
lastly - promise me you wont use all those silly noises on ssb!!!

"i promise" i wont use the stupid noises lol , i only use it because i cant get an original mike
for the 257 and from the reports it does sound nice i had wired it with a tester in the end. i was just worried about the 13 volts that comes out of the rig on pin 6
