I don't know about anyone else, but I really dislike LCD meters.
And menus.
And anything new, in fact.
I won't be buying one, even if I win the lottery.

Im afraid LCD's & menu's are the way now,so no chance of manufactuters going backward in technology,its also down to personal preference aswell.
I must admit I do like the look of it & I just noticed it has 6 meters aswell as HF, so you will be able to listen to the cordless household phones.
As for price,yes it will deffo be OTT priced for rip off Britain.

Try a FTDX 401, mine cost me £30, it's an all valve set & has 560 W PEP input & a antenna impedence of 50 - 100 Ohms, no 50 Ohms here.

Have to agree,it looks better with the display green.
No word on the SSB tx bandwidth Dave,lets hope it has the capabilty to tx 3k or wider
