seen them on fleabay fetch up to £500 6 months old.£400 with no warranty.

this one is already done so i wont have to go in there, i have heard they are pretty easy to do. now i need to get myself another SWR meter that has good coverage 0-30 be a start as i dont think i'll be using much above that

Internal SWR meters are perfectly ok on most HF sets, no need for another insertion loss

the only down side to 706's is they dont half drawn the juice,so watch when out mobile ????run mine off separate battery,110amp leisure.
