homebase setup at last
At long last, i'm finally set up for mobile as well as homebase.
The antenna at home is the Antron 99 at 40 feet, the rig is Superstar158EDX and mike is SM58 with Behringer compressor and Yamaha 31band graphic for that BBC quality audio.
Mobile, i have a 9 foot fibreglass whip modded for the lower end of 11 meters (i love 26megs), and theres also a 2m/70cm whip on the roof.
Rig is an Icom IC706Mk2G, mike is standard, all running off a leisure battery charged while the vehicle is moving.

Ground wave yes, but local prop is good when its there I've made contact with loads of people all over, latest was Herts and Lincoln weekend before last
And Marcus 26TRC155 (An infamous 11 metre freebander on Cluster.dk, Im sure he wont mind me saying) heard me calling from London on Sunday, but I didnt hear him
