Vertical mobile I visited my parents recntly, in the garage was an old 11m mobile antenna of mine from 30 odd years ago. Its a white fibre glass thing about seven foot (Or more) long (probably a quarter wave) with an Avanti sticker on. I only used this aerial once or twice, as its a mother of a mobile!!
I'm going to use it as my vertical as I dont have one at present, I wonder which model it is? My memory is not as good as it was
Re: Vertical mobile The only thing i have left over from 11 meters in the 80's is a mobile antenna.
I was told it is a full lenth 1/4 wave from firestick.
Its 7 feet high, fibre glass with a black pvc coating and copper wound around it under the pvc getting tighter as it get's higher.
It got a fall once , and the swr is just sitting above a 2.
It look like a monster on the side of my hiace van, but worked well with a sommerkamp ft767gx.
