just cured a lads computer two doors away with ferrites ,a big clamp on around all the mains leads,an a smaller one on each speaker an mouse cable,i did tell it's his own fault,he had got the dongle for connection out side taped to the window catch??
more amplified speakers than our local picture house,no side panel on the computer
but for £4.50 it's sorted if offcom would av turned up £90 call out & around £5 a ferrite if they fit em???

Hi Al, TVI probs need a bit of diagnostics to find especially if multi sources (as is normal)are causing it.
Try this first mate to sort out the source. Disconnect antenna, plug in Dummy load(best direct in back of rig), and transmit at max power that the dummy can handle(just dummy load and NOTHING ELSE!).
If TVI is still there its obviously radiating from shack emissions (not antenna), so radio case, mic cable, patch lead etc, or along metalic objects ie pipes,cables reinforcing rods in wall etc.
If TVI has reduced but not gone then you have more than one source OK.
Can you get back to me on result and we'll progress stage by stage. 139 had the absolutely right approach, don't assume its all you mate its very often not but its you who needs to sort it as he did. we'll win John193
