tats the tuner i have got i think john not at home @ the moment work calls??
but sure it's the tau super tuner does 1500 watts with the big band dial ,good tuner but god it's big.

Huge, its tru but they are tough, iwas battering 2.5 through mine and it smoked all the way didnt let go though, shack was filled with bakalite burning smell, i've replaced the mf/lf coil former with a teflon one now so no smell when she'd cooking on gas mark 9. Yep sure are tough mothers, they need to be to get house room in my shack! john193

I'm surprised a man of your calibre didn't re-wind the coil with heavier wire - better efficiency too.
You remember those Zetagi Matchboxes for 11? The coil in there is pathetic, and wound of something not as conductive as copper. I can only assume this was to make it easier to tune by drastically lowering the Q. Immediate re-wind of that thing was required. 
EDIT:
Oh - and I didn't buy it, I was given it in case anyone wondered.

It did an upgrade Silver tube and the roller,trunion and shaft is silver plated too as i liked the shine Andy, probably would have been cheaper to buy a bigger one.
