Re: Elisabethtown

ok, i've seen both trailers. IMHO not only does he look adorable here, he actually shows quite a lot of EMOTION in this one! And for the first time, I can really see some good chemistry 'vibes' between Orli and his leading lady (Kirsten Dunst). Maybe it's Cameron Crowe's direction, or maybe Orlando is learning to "loosen up," or maybe it's a combination of things. And maybe Kirsten Dunst (who's kind of a "crazy girl" herself) and Orlando just hit it off really well together.

But whatever, I like most of Cameron Crowe's films and I think he's an excellent storyteller for this style of film. It is SO different (but nice) to see Orlando out of costume and in the "real world" of today. From what I can tell, he got the "American" accent down pretty good too. I'm sooo anxious now for this film to be released! :hyper1: :hyper1:

I watched the movie yesterday - of course I did. emoticon
Well, what to annotate? For the first look, I liked the movie! It seems to be a non-mainstream film - and that is what I prefer! And there are several great actors and actresses involved in the project - as to mention Susan Sarandon, Alec Baldwin, Kirsten Dunst ... Orlando does look like a 'normal' guy - no elfish wig or medieval beard ... yeah, it fits him. BUT, I am still not convinced of his playing skills :hyp:

Yeah, I love Susan Sarandon too. I have mixed feelings about Kirsten, but she seems really cute and animated in this. I like 'big epics' but I also love these smaller, more intimate films where you can really get to know the characters well.

I'm with you, ladyluk! In independent films, you find more skilled actors, who show great performances than in the normal-popcorn-movies - I terribly hope, Orli has betterd his playing! emoticon

:jumps: Hey, lui - we agree on something at last! LOL - I love a GOOD "indie" film too. And yes, I agree it gives an actor more chance to "flex his ACTING muscle" because you can't hide behind big battle scenes and/or elaborate sets and costuming!

I found these cuties of the little boy who plays "Drew" when he's about 10 yrs. old. Not only does he look a lot like Orli, I think this kid is going to be GORGEOUS when he grows up!

I saw the trailer for this when I went to War of the Worlds. Did look interesting.
There is a big cutout thing sitting in the theater for the movie now too.
