3 more places to look for people who can help perhaps
According to this TT-reply, "CYT" meanwhile made a translation into JAPANESE ready. Great work.
And acc. to David's reply in the same TT-thread, "Zoe" took care of the ITALIAN translation.
Credits to the person who made the translation into HEBREW,
as well as credits to the person who took care of a version in RUSSIAN.
Thank you, HHCityStyler, for sending in the GERMAN translation today.
25/1: "ilko" you are wonderful; many thanks for sending in your BULGARIAN translation tonight!!
27/1 Thanking "Pavel" for making the SPANISH poster available, to "d3marcus" because SWEDISH should be on its way now, and to "LilyAway" for activating a friend who translates the poster into CHINESE.

Re: Can you help DISTRIBUTE or TRANSLATE the search poster?
Thanks Mieke for the info. I have now installed the appropriate fonts to view the poster.
CYT has also sent a PDF version of the Japanese poster and both are now on the poster section of this site.
Thanks 'CYT' (didn't know if you wanted your real name displayed here so I have sent you a PM on the TT site.
David.

Pls. note that another helpful TT-user agreed to make a Bulgarian translation,
so that should be on its way in the near future.

Posters and photos; several questions & ideas
Hello David,
re. TRANSLATIONS
1.
What if you would include the poster in Nepali as well on your site, in the Posters-section, so it's available too for downloads?
2.
More translations may follow; is it an idea to list the languages alphabetically in their section?
3
The size of the posters in Dutch and Hebrew does not fit on to one page anymore now. I centred my text; I assume if you change that back to left margin, the problem is solved with Dutch. Since the Hebrew-text is centred as well, you might just solve the problem that way too. Otherwise:
- You could adjust the margins of such pages, (top bottom lefr right) so there's more space for the text and it'll be on one page again.
- You can look into the possibility of making any blank lines smaller or adjust the font size in one or two places so, again, the whole text fits on to one Word page.
- A third option would be to use a different font for Dutch: clear and plain but in itself perhaps a little bit smaller.
- And a 4th option is to edit the photos a little bit, so they become a little bit smaller.
4.
Pls. note that on the Danish poster, your website and the e-mail address of the Ktm embassy somehow disappeared, on the other hand it mentions your cellphone number and the other versions don't.
re. PHOTOS
5.
The Dutch version now has not the same photos as the other ones. I've explained to you why I feel the "outdoors" photo of Gareth seems really important. Is it an idea for you to consider, to alter the photos in the other languages available, and include the outdoors-photo?
6.
Then an important remark that Tan made recently: some people may only be able to print off the poster in a black & white print. What happens with the green background if you print the poster in b&w only? I imagine it gets rather dark grey, but I'm not sure.
=> Is it an option to use the outdoors photo together with one of the two photos as = in here = , because they show a white background?
7.
In the thread with the internet-history (2004) I added a small photo of Gareth. Took it from the BBC website. Of course the photo belongs to your family, but the BBC is the host of that URL. If you would copy it and host it yourself, that small "image" of his face can be used in future as well in places where a large photo would somehow not be suitable.
8.
I wonder if I can ask Gill and you to make one or two rather recent photos available where Gareth is seen "en profile" (I think that's a French term); I mean all the photos now show him looking into the camera. Is there a photo, or two, showing him from aside (left or right), so we can use those images as well in order to improve chances on recognition? (From memory or hopefully somehow in the present/future).
9.
Would you like me to make the photo of Gareth in Egypt (the one on the front page of the website) a little smaller and mail it to you, so you could use that one as well in some places, but without it taking up a lot of space (and bytes)?
re. INFORMATION on your website
10.
In LITH's photopage-thread the URLs are clearly mentioned, so they can be copied and used; I did something similar in my TT-profile. What if you would mention all the available URLs with photo(s) of Gareth on your website, preferably with a direct link so people can click and see them at once? Especially also if people want to help making postings or writing e-mails to focus attention anywhere on Gareth being missing. It means they have all the photos, larger and small ones, at hand.
Finally, I'm really sorry for posting so many questions and suggestions here all of a sudden.
