Crystals & their meanings
I’ve listed a few crystals and what I know about them; please add to this list to help others in their learning :-)
Aventurine (colour: green, blue or red): good luck
Agates (Banded): relieves stress & emotional pain.
Agates (Dendritic): is milky white with black & blue spots and is used for protection in travel.
Agates (Indian): the eye formation in the centre of the stone and gives bodily protection and is also used for survival.
Agates (Moss): milky white with fiery red grasses inside, this agate is good for visualisation, practice and reaching desired goals.
Amber (colour: yellow or orange): protector of children, spell strengtheners, stimulates the flow of money toward you.
Amethyst (colour: transparent crystalline purple): used to transform negativity and strengthen third eye vision or your intuitive sense. Also rids nightmares and is good for headaches.
Bloodstone (colour: very dark green with red or orange spots or bands): Aids in removing both mental and physical blocks, healing internal and external difficulties, protection, carry this to avoids wounds, bring money, increase production, protect pregnant women and provide “cloaking” when you do not want to be seen. When its energy is used up it is said that the red spots turn to white and the stone should be returned to the elements from whence it came.
Carnelian (colour: transparent red or orange): Success, career, seen as an ‘action’ stone and it is said to protect your thoughts from others.
Fluorite (colours: variegated translucent blue, purple, pink or blue-green): Meditation and enables you to answer those haunting past life questions through the Akashic records.
Geodes: Stimulate dance and the free spirit, good for using to concentrate power prior to its release.
Jaspers: Known as ‘rain gatherers’, they also strengthen your energy flow and relieve stress. The red Jasper is known for night protection, defensive magick and the return of negative energy. The green Jasper is used for healing and the brown Jasper is used for grounding and stability.
Malachite (colour: blue or green with variegated bands): It breaks into two pieces to warn you of imminent danger. It is also believed to greatly enhance vision questing.
Moonstone (colour: pink, white, blue or green): Promotes love, compassion and sympathy both in yourself and others. Known for second sight, enhancing psychic powers and it can assist to unblock emotions between two lovers, helping them to communicate in an atmosphere of unconditional love.
Obsidian (colour: black): Protection
Rhodochrosite (colour: variegated pink and white): Gives you energy
Rose Quartz (colour: pink): Peaceful and loving feelings, promotes beauty, love of self and others, relaxes and eases grief.
Smokey Quartz (colour: translucent grey or black): Seen as an energy generator and a protective stone.
Sodalite (colour: deep blue with strands of white): Stress reducer and this stone also enables relaxation and meditation.
Sunstone (colour: tangerine): Energizer and cellular healing stone, associated with the sun and fire. Also can be used for cancer recovery.
Tigers Eye (colour: honey-brown with banded tints): Used for luck and fortune as well as honesty. If anyone tries to lie to you whilst you are carrying this stone, his or her cloak will be removed. Veils are removed with this stone and it also assists with accurate judgement.
Turquoise (colour: baby blue): Highly absorbent stone, it drains of colour if in contact with your flesh over a period where you are in a highly stressed mood. It is a speaking stone, enhancing verbal communication, allowing thoughts to flow in perfect sentences. If you are nervous before a speech or presentation; wear it around your throat. It enhances love, health and happiness and is a protector of the spirit,
