Quiz!
Anyone want to take a stab at identifying all of Alice and Geek's SF movie quotes in this issue?
If you get them all, you will be elevated to the realm of Master Geek (is this a good thing?)

Can I have Dungeons and Dragons, though strictly its not a quote by Alice or Geek.
"You didn't say "over"" I'm sure this is from a film, but I can't think of which one.

Re: Quiz!
Highlander - "I am the one"
TMNT - "I'll send for pizza"
Star Wars "Don't get ****y, kid. You might find yourself floating home"
Hitchikers guide to the galaxy (in various formats) - "Brain the size of a planet"
Unknown - "America, you are so infiltrated!" but this must surely be a quote
Unknown - "legs the length of" but this must surely be a quote
Unknown - There is probably a Matrix quote because the knightflyer thinks there is. I haven't found it yet however
Additionally, not made by Alice or Geek but seemingly SF quotes----- Bill & Ted's excellent adventure & Bill & Ted's bogus journey No way" "Way Billy"
Alsdo Aliens -----Drake & Wierbowski & "Not bad for a human"
A disney christmas carol - don't know the title, but features Huey,Dewey & Lewey.
Simpsons----D'oh
probably to be continued....

Re: Quiz!
From the trailers it looks like almost any kind of movie.
I don't think 'coming soon' would stop Dave using quotes...

I thought this was the Matrix. but that was "You are The One." or "Are you are The One?". But Highlander seems more likely.

Yea, sounds like a quote.

It was Bishop to Ripley after the ***** fight.

Re: Quiz!
Lots of interesting answers, including some that I hadn't thought of doing
Blitzen:
quote: Matrix and TMNT.
Correct but I think you only looked at their first scene.
Knightflyer:
quote: Star Wars
Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy
Matrix
TMNT
The Simpsons
Aliens
The Simpsons? Yes but not deliberately -- I think "D'oh!" has transcended its source.
quote: "You didn't say "over"" I'm sure this is from a film, but I can't think of which one.
Inspired by Airplane, "This is Captain Over, over," but not an exact quote so I wasn't really counting it.
Jellyman:
quote: Highlander - "I am the one"
Not what I had in mind.
quote: TMNT - "I'll send for pizza"
Star Wars "Don't get ****y, kid. You might find yourself floating home"
Hitchikers guide to the galaxy (in various formats) - "Brain the size of a planet"
Yes, yes, and yes.
quote: Unknown - "America, you are so infiltrated!" but this must surely be a quote
If it is, I don't know where I picked it up from. I just thought it sounded good.
quote: Unknown - "legs the length of" but this must surely be a quote
Not deliberately. I tried to work in a Lord of the Rings (movie) joke about Dwarves but I couldn't make one work.
quote: Additionally, not made by Alice or Geek but seemingly SF quotes----- Bill & Ted's excellent adventure & Bill & Ted's bogus journey No way" "Way Billy"
Both Alice and Geek quote Bill and Ted, though I don't think anybody has identified it yet (it's so obvious, dude!)... and yes, Suzi is a Bill & Ted fan too (isn't everybody?)
quote: A disney christmas carol - don't know the title, but features Huey,Dewey & Lewey.
Good try at getting bonus points!
Knightfler again:
quote: I thought this was the Matrix. but that was "You are The One." or "Are you are The One?". But Highlander seems more likely.
I thought that when Neo finally accepted that he was the one, he said the line... but I may be wrong.
quote: It was Bishop to Ripley after the ***** fight.
It would have to be Bishop really, wouldn't it?
(I'm sure everybody has noticed that half of the K-Men are named after Colonial marines?)

Re: Quiz!
Actually, I looked through it all. This clearly means I'm less of a geek than you lot. I will forgo the bonus points and celebrate this instead.
Woohoo - I'm not a geek.
