#30: Writer's comments
Paul is a useful narrator because his analytical approach comes closest to allowing me an "authorial voice". In other words, he can say what I think about the characters.
Unfortunately, I find Paul the most awkward fit in the group. He doesn't really have a role, except as a place-holder for Jerome and Harry. Which is a theme I'm trying to explore a bit here.
I don't think that this issue hangs together particularly well, but I had a lot of groundwork I wanted to lay before launching into the next major storyline. I'm much more excited about what's coming up, and I hope you will be too...

Re: Writer's comments
I don't know what you mean about the story, "not hanging together too well"!
It looked fine to me. Lucid narrative from the only "normal" bloke in the group and a highlight of the contrast in styles between the heroes and Kloud's deeply unpleasant bunch of reprobates. Strangulation! Laceration! Acid!? Water!? Eewww.
I'm not sure whats going to happen, but the situation sounds ripe for a messy "Tarantino-esque" kinda three way conflict.
Without the bad language, of course. (Presuming you're Comic Code Authority approved).
Lardboy.
