Issue #2
Ok. Yes, maybe I should start with the first one. But I'm reading the second one again, and just wanted to mention something.
Page 16, Panel 8.
quote: The vehicle moving into the distance, almost lost in the stream of traffic, obviously safe.
13. VOICE (from vehicle):
Are we there yet?
It cracked me up, so it's a good effect. But in retrospect, it feels a bit strange. It could only have been Chi-yun, I think, because it *is* a bit childish.
Still, that action scene in the church is good. How religious is that society? I hate to see stained-glass windows destroyed, but it's America, so they wouldn't have been very old.

What do you mean, childish? I always ask that two minutes into a journey!

Re: Issue #2
I've been trying to work out why I attributed the speech to VOICE instead of to a character name. And my excuse is...
In a real comic (which I sometimes remember to try to simulate) the reader would have had no cue to tell them who said it when it was just a speech bubble coming from the vehicle.
Hopefully there was already enough characterisation already in place at that time to make a judgement about who said it.
(It was Chi-Yun, by the way.)
To address your second point: I don't see 2014 as being significantly more or less religious than 2004. Smashing stained glass windows is a monstrous crime, whether you're religious or not, but the K-MEN are
With later revlations about the K-MAN (which I won't mention here as this thread is about issue #2), it could be argued that they should have more reverence for a church. But then, it could be argued that they wouldn't...

Re: Issue #2
I wonder, do the K-Men not only change shape but also personality when they switch to wolf-shape?

Re: Issue #2
Hmm... something I need to explore, I think. I have a K-Men "spotlight" issue in the works (hopefully around issue 25 or 26) and I'll try to work the answer to your question into the issue.

Re: Issue #2
Alright!
It really was just a thought. But to see them burst through a church window, and later on to kill a "relative" in a way... it did make me wonder.
Dare I ask? .... (When?)
