Roll on 2012
I can't wait. I'm so excited.
I went to see Iron Man. It was good. Right at the end Nick Fury made an appearance.
I went to see Hulk. It referenced captain America, and Iron Man even made an appearance. And Shield! was in both movies.
But the best is still to come.
Iron Man 2, in which Thor cameos.
Thor the movie.
Captain America the movie (set during WWII)
Iron Man 3.
All these movies are prequels to the Avengers, release date 2012.
Roll on 2012. I'm loving the interrconnectedness already.

It's not clicky, though, sorry

Re: Roll on 2012
I haven't seen the Hulk film yet. Iron Man was indeed brilliant. I can't wait full stop.

Re: Roll on 2012
I didn't know Captain America was going to be set in WW2. That's good sign, because it looks like they're going to do the character right. It would be so easy to totally misjudge the tone and make him unpalatable to every non-American viewer if they tried to "update" him.
Marvel have finally started leveraging what makes comics so great: the interconnected universe. There's no other genre in fiction that has that.
It must be incredibly hard to do it in movies that take years to produce and require stars to sign on for multi-film deals. But if they do it right -- and they are so far -- it's going to redefine how cinema works.
Iron Man was probably the best comic adaptation so far. Well acted, superb (beleivable) special effects, and really captured the feel of Iron Man: every item of technology in the film was just so cool. I want his computers!
If you haven't see Iron Man yet -- stay until the end of the credits! Yes, they go on forever, and you'll really annoy the cinema staff, but it's worth it.
The Hulk was (surprisingly) really good. A million times better than the unfortunate mess a few years ago. And packed with little in-references to keep comic geeks happy.

Re: Roll on 2012
From what I've heard, Captain America will be set in WWII and then in modern America, I don't know how long in each, but it sounds like most of the film will be WWII.
I've seen Iron Man, but missed the end (ie after the credits) so could you pm the details. I don't want to post spoilers or anything.
