I agree. An older Doctor would make a good contrast after Tennant.

But it's not him. It seems 99% certain that it's [spoiler]Patterson Joseph... which I also think is an awesome choice. He's a great actor who has been excellent in all of the roles I've seen him in.

Well as it's a no longer a spoiler (as it was wrong)... Patterson Joseph has also already been in Doctor Who emoticon

He was the Marquis de Carabas in Neil Gaiman's Neverwhere (which you should really see if you haven't already). Most recently he was Greg in the remake of Survivors (which you should also see) and in between those he's done a whole load of other things (some of which you should see and some of which you probably shouldn't emoticon )
