The best use of spider silk, of course, is bullet-proof costumes for superheroes. As all dedicated readers will know, spider silk was used in the 24th century to make the bullet-proof costume of the Strikeforce member Scorpio (who later called himself Major Democracy). Major Democracy's costume was later inherited by James Thursday. It is still apparently bullet proof. Especially alert readers maye have asked themselves why the costume is still bullet proof.
