The plot focus in this issue is Sara (or at least her family, as becomes apparent in the last few pages), and I've been asked why James is narrating instead of Sara. The answer, of course, is that James has the "thematic" focus. Indeed, even though he actually does very little to beat the villain, he drives the whole story.

And, if you like, that's a metaphore for the way the group works. And I suspect we'll be seeing it even more over time, as James can't avoid taking the leadership role.

Plus, taking the narration away from Sara meant I didn't have to explicitly detail her emotions. Which made the whole thing much easier to write. I'm so sneaky...
