I read it! (#21)

Wonderful issue. Thank you for giving such good background for Jerome, it made me feel much closer to him. And I just love some good sword fighting. emoticon

One little typo, in panel 3 on page 11:

"Leadership cannot just be assumed. It has to be earned. When I was awarded my first ship, I quickly learned that a crew which respects you responds better than one which hates or fears. you."

There's a full stop too many. emoticon

I'm getting a lot of practice in proofreading, lately. Your stories have the decided advantage of being pure joy to proofread. emoticon

I have another question.

Are you familiar with the "Ramage" novels by Dudley Pope?

I'm sure my father had several of them. He was a big fan of naval fiction, but though I read a lot of his books I don't think I ever got round to Ramage.

I just had to ask, because Ramage's sidekick (or faithful seaman/bosun) is called Allday.

I seem to recall Richard Bolitho from Alexander Kent's books had a faithful coxswain (or something) called Allday, which is probably where I got the name from.

I freely admit I am not original with my character names emoticon

Hmmm, maybe it was Bolitho, we have both series. emoticon

I just wondered if it was on purpose.
