Characters of Many Names
Who had a lot of names in any Middle-earth book?
From the Silmarillion we have Turin Turambar, Lord of the Rings gives us Aragorn.
Let's try to list them all! Think of more characters! Whee!
Once we have compiled them, the many names can be in an...
Official List:
Aragorn: Aragorn Son of Arathorn, Elessar, Elfstone, Strider, Longshanks, Enyvatar, Estel, Thorongil, Isildur's Heir, Wingfoot.
Gandalf: Gandalf, Olorin, Mithrandir, Tharkun, Incanus
Meriadoc Brandybuck: Merry, Holdwine, Master Perian, Master Holbytla.
Turin: Turin, Turumabar, Neithan, Dragon-Helm, Black Sword of Nargothrond, Mormegil

There was Gandalf. He had Mithrandir, Olorin etc.

He had those two and then his Wntish name which we never found out.
Frodo had Frodo and Mr. Underhill.

Gandalf also had Gandalf Greyhame and Stormcrow. Wasn't he called Tharkun by the Dwarves or something like that?
I'm sure the beginning of Treebeard's name appears in "The Two Towers"

Hm... Aragorn and King Edward I were both called Longshanks by their detractors. (However, Aragorn wasn't needlessly cruel in later years of his reign.)
