Announcements: Important:HVEL will be relocating to a Proboard, which is currently under construction. It's been great here, hosted by runboard, and this was a great way for me to start out, but due to the more advanced, efficient, manageable, and interchangeable features, I have decided to move HVEL to there. This board will always be here, as a sort of museum to the past HVEL and the promise of the future.

Your favourite LOTR weapon.

Since this forum has no threads I thought I'd post one.

What is your favourite LOTR weapon and why. Mine has to be Anduril. I love swords and this has to be one of the best. It was originally made for a giant of a Man (Elendil) and has passed onto Aragorn to be refoged.

What are yours.

I like Merry's sword from the Barrow Downs! In the movies, his sword is awesome too! (And hand delivered by Peter Jackson via Plot Hole.)

I moved this thread here because the Smithy forum will soon be deleted.

Talk about your favourite weapons from the books! It's okay to mention the movies here, but remember this forum is about the books. If you want to talk about the movie props, please feel free to open a thread in the LOTR Movie forum. Cheerio! Nurvingiel

No, I meant I was going to delete it emoticon. Maybe I will, and make a new one later.

Yes it was but that was before this was in the book forum. emoticon Forget I even mentioned them, I love Merry's sword in the book. And Sting! How could I forget Sting!

I actually think this is a better place for it - it seemed odd to have an entire forum on weapons. Maybe later when the board is bigger..?

Maybe this should be in the movie forum. But I've messed this thread around enough.

Telcontar and Siggy, I'll leave it up to you to decide its location. (And SneakyRat)

I say we keep it in here. There are more weapons in the books than in the movies.

My favorite weapon would also have to be Merry's sword from the Barrowdowns.
