One way to play online RPG

I think it would be fun to play an RPG in the style of writing a group story. (With a group story, each author writes a bit more of the story in their post. They continue where the last person left off, leaving a continuous plot.)
This style could apply to any subject of RPG. At the beginning, each person would post a detailed description of their character.
Then, when you post, you could use all the characters if you wanted. But you have to stay true to the description posted by the creator.
There is, of course, no godmodding or other such nonsense.
Godmodding - saying your character is all-powerful.
Bunnying - saying your character automatically defeated an opponent or dodged/scored a hit.
I imagine this sort of RPG would still need a GM.
That about says it.

Re: RPG Rules/How They Work
Yeah maybe the name should be changed as it isn't the only way to play.
--- They are proud and wilful, but they are true-hearted, generous in thought and deed: bold but not cruel; wise but unlearned, writing no books but singing many songs after the manner of children of Men before the Dark Years.

I got it. I think. If I knew what you're talking about.

Re: RPG Rules/How Some Online RPGs Work.
Yup. Exactly. If we knew some of the more complicated ways we could put them too.
