Best Movie Character
Who do you think fitted in with their character best in the movies.
I think it was Sam. He was loyal to Frodo and depicted his character perfectly. What do you guys think?
--- They are proud and wilful, but they are true-hearted, generous in thought and deed: bold but not cruel; wise but unlearned, writing no books but singing many songs after the manner of children of Men before the Dark Years.

Re: Best Movie Character
I agree as well. Sam, though not even close to my imagination, was the best in the two movies I saw.

Re: Best Movie Character
Aragorn was my favourite character in both but Sam fitted best with the book.
I also agree with Nurv. Theoden, Eowyn and Eomer were done extremly well. The only thing that annoyed me is that omer was banished not imprisoned which cut Erkenbrand out of the Film.

Re: Best Movie Character
Personally i think the character(s) that fitted the book best in the movies was Gollum/Smeagol. PJ got across the moral dilemma that Smeagol was having trying to convince this evil side of him (Gollum) to be faithful to the promise he made to Frodo, everything from the looks, personality, even down to the voice was exactly how imagined them to be, great stuff.

Re: Best Movie Character
I thought Theoden and Eowyn were pretty good. No, I'm not metioning Merry as the best character. Don't everyone have a heart attack now!
