Avatars and Images
I may be new to this message board, but I know plenty about them... after looking at certaing boards, I noticed that 1 or more of you were using animated Avatars(character icons) and images. I believe that these should be used sparingly or not at all. Case in point: Zero Dragon. Answer me this, when scrolling down a page that has a conversation between Zero Dragon and someone else, what will you see first? Will you see the text of the writers, or will your eyes drift to the cool looking animations. Another reason for not using animated images is because when someone is trying to enter a page, every single one of those animations have to be loaded. The more animations that are there, the longer to load. For the sake of us with slow computers, please get rid of them.
If you don't understand a word I just said, let me rephrase it: Don't use pictures that move because their distracting and take forever to load on slow computers.

It’s more likely that some one who isn’t used to dealing with animated pictures might look at them first, and ignore the text. But so far there doesn’t seem to be a major probable with animated pictures or pictures in general, I have seen much worse on other message boards. However I am glad that someone brought this up before it got to be a problem, I have come across people who like to pack as many pictures into their signatures as the possibly can and that will not be tolerated here.

Not sure.
I just see the text now after getting use to animated avvies/siggies. It's not that distracting now to me.
only thing annoying to me would be very BIG pictures for siggies and avvies since they shallow up the post.

Wow, I never thought of that, maybe I should change mine in my forum. They are nice to have but I guess they can be a real pain.
