Dillsboro, Waynesville Area Info?
Was hopeful someone had made the trek to this beautiful
part of our state and could report on the fishing?
Any info would be appreciated. If no one can reply, I will post after my return in the next couple of weeks.

I dont think you are too far from the Davidson River just outside of Brevard. You might check that out.

Trying to stay away from the whipped to a froth waters.

My trip was postponed a couple of weeks by work--eeek!!
Once there I was rewarded with some of the most awesome flyfishing environs I have enjoyed in many a year.
Fished only within the GSMNP boundaries. Beautiful freestone streams, and I mean freestone! Some of the most difficult wading I have encountered. Fell twice, which is two times more than I have fallen in the last fifteen years!
Caught fish sparingly, but the flora and fauna made up for lack of a killing.
Will do much better next outing after much dialogue with some of the ole-timers who frequent these prisitine waters.
Learned a lot of dos and don'ts in re particular stream knowldege.
Would highly recommend the trip!

Check out Davidson River OUtfitters in Brevard. Kevin Howell is the man to see for fishing in this fine area. Having fished there before I will be going back up the end of March for his 2 day fly fishing school.
