Things have been pretty quiet with the weather making it rough for folks to get out. A few specks and puppy drum on the northern OBX and a striper or two, but not much more than that to write home about.

There are reports of shad being caught already in the Neuse River around Kinston, NC. Maybe the Roanoke isn't far behind.
